Sarah Tanton RN, MSN, NP

Board Certified

Sarah Tanton received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas in 2010. She went on to complete her Masters of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) from McNeese University in Lake Charles Louisiana in 2020. She received Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021 from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.

Sarah began her career in medicine working for Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in the Medical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Sarah spent 12 years within this role working in the Medical/Trauma ICU, Neurosurgery ICU, and Cardiovascular ICU. During her time with Christus she went on to obtain multiple certifications in both Critical Care and Trauma including Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse from AACN, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Trauma Care after Resuscitation, and Trauma Nursing Core Course. Sarah also performed as an Instructor for these courses as well.

In 2022 Sarah joined Surgical Critical Care Associates, LLP in the role of Trauma Nurse Practitioner and General Surgery Nurse Practitioner.
